After weeks of mild hairstyle changes, Miley Cyrus recently debuted her most shocking look yet - a pixie cut.
The 19-year-old pop singer and actress showed off a half buzzed, half clipped bleached blonde 'do, which brings to mind supermodel Agyness Deyn, in a picture on her Twitter page this weekend. And she live-Tweeted her transformation.
The natural brunette, best known for her past role in the Disney Channel series "Hannah Montana," traded in her dirty-blonde locks for a shorter, platinum style in mid-July. On August 6, she told her some 7.4 million Twitter followers in a mysterious message that she was "ready for a change."
On Sunday, August 12, Los Angeles hairdresser Chris McMillan posted an Instagram photo of himself holding up a pair of scissors to Cyrus' hair bun, Tweeting: "Good bye bun. Stay tuned."
"It's happening," Cyrus said, after posting a similar picture. "If you don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all. my hair is attached to my head no one else's and it's going bye bye :) (sic)"
About four hours later, McMillan posted a new photo of Cyrus, looking sideways with her new pixie cut, adding: "Done."
Cyrus then shared several photos of her new buzzed look with her followers, including one she appeared to have taken with her iPhone.
"Never felt more me in my whole life," she Tweeted, later adding: "Feeling so happy in my skin. My dad @billyraycyrus used to tell me 'opinions are are like (expletives) every body has one' LOVE my hair ... feel so happy, pretty, and free."
